Soul School blends traditional learning with experiential activities that teach students how their bodies, thoughts, and emotions are connected. Curriculum Overview

Our curriculum is structured to develop key skills in young learners. Each component encourages engagement, personal development, and real-world readiness.

I. Foundation: Stability & Focus

Through hands-on science, life skills, and movement, children strengthen both body and mind. Activities like exploring natural patterns, learning how things work, and practicing balance help build attention, coordination, and a grounded sense of confidence.

II. Creativity & Expression

Children are invited to explore their inner world through painting, music, storytelling, and imaginative play. These moments are about discovery—not perfection—and give space for emotions, ideas, and individuality to come through in colorful ways.

III. Confidence & Problem Solving

We foster a mindset of curiosity and persistence. Whether through building challenges, group projects, or creative problem-solving games, students learn to adapt, take initiative, and feel capable navigating new situations with others.

IV. Compassion & Cooperation

We emphasize care—for self, for others, and for community. Group discussions, shared responsibilities, and team-based activities help children practice empathy, resolve conflicts, and understand their role in a cooperative environment.

V. Communication Skills

Using storytelling, discussion circles, and collaborative exercises, students build confidence in speaking, listening, and expressing themselves clearly. We support both verbal and nonverbal communication, honoring different ways of connecting.

VI. Self-Reflection & Awareness

Through journaling, quiet observation, and personal goal-setting, students develop a sense of who they are and what they need. We create space for children to reflect on their choices, notice their growth, and tune in to how they feel and learn best.

VII. Growth & Connection

At Soul School, learning isn’t separate from life—it’s part of a greater web. We nurture each child’s natural sense of wonder through nature walks, gratitude practices, and big questions about the world and their place in it.

Educational Philosophy

We believe education is most effective when it supports the whole child. Our approach combines hands-on learning with thoughtful guidance, influenced by Montessori principles and real-world connection. Students are encouraged to apply lessons to their daily lives, building focus, emotional intelligence, creativity, and resilience along the way.

Enrollment & Eligibility

Soul School is open to home-education families seeking an engaging, experiential learning environment for their children.

Before final enrollment, Soul School schedules a short meeting with each student and parent or guardian. This conversation helps us learn about the child’s interests, energy, and learning style, and ensures that the program is a good match for everyone.

The property and primary classroom are ADA compliant, and we make reasonable efforts to accommodate additional needs with advance notice.

Soul School participates in education savings account programs upon approval.

Tuition & Fees

  • Daily Rate: $250 per student
  • Materials Fee: None

Arrival & Participation

Check-In & Pick-Up

Only authorized adults listed on each student’s form may sign students in or out. Parents or guardians must check in at drop-off and show identification at pick-up. Students stay under staff supervision until pick-up is complete.

Behavior & Conduct

Soul School emphasizes respect, curiosity, and collaboration. Students are expected to treat peers, instructors, and materials with care. Unsafe or persistently disruptive behavior will result in a pause in participation, a parent conference, and a plan before returning. These expectations are modeled by adults and reinforced through calm, consistent communication.

Field Trip & Off-Site Activities

Occasional walking or short-distance field experiences may be included in the day’s program to extend learning into the community or natural environment. Parents are informed in advance of any off-site plans and may opt out for their child if desired. All students remain under direct adult supervision during travel and activities, and safety protocols are followed at all times.

Health, Safety & Emergency Policies

Health & Safety Statement

Student safety and well-being are our highest priority. Students showing signs of fever, vomiting, or contagious illness within 24 hours of a session must remain home. Parents should inform staff of any allergies or health needs during registration. Medications are kept with staff unless a different plan is arranged. All sessions maintain active adult supervision, including transitions and outdoor time. Staff and volunteers are background screened according to Florida Level 2 standards, with verified CPR/First Aid certification and child safety training. Emergency procedures are reviewed and practiced regularly.

Emergency Procedures

Soul School maintains an emergency action plan that covers fire, severe weather, injury, and lockdown procedures. Evacuation routes and emergency contacts are posted in the learning space. Drills are conducted regularly, and a fully stocked first-aid kit is available on-site at all times. In the event of a serious emergency, parents or guardians will be notified as soon as safely possible.

Participation in photos or videos is optional. Parents or guardians may indicate their preferences on the enrollment form. Images are never shared publicly without written permission and are used only for educational documentation or program communication purposes.
